Megan Van Someren
Megan joined the Jamie Oliver Group in 2022 as CCO, responsible for driving commercial & brand growth as well as an ambitious social impact agenda. She leads teams across brand experience, product & partnerships as well as sustainability and social impact. Her focus is to deliver multi-channel experiences across all relevant customer, category & partner opportunities while delivering on the brand’s promise of enabling a better and more joyful mealtime.
Megan brings 23 years of strategy, innovation and brand development with proven transformation leadership and commercial delivery. This is combined with a deep rooted passion to positively contribute to, and shape the future of food. Prior to joining JOG, Megan was the Global Food & Beverage Chair at Edelman, advising on the state of trust across the food system, while delivering strategy for a range of global food & beverage clients.
Over the course of her career Megan has worked with food & beverage brands of all shapes and sizes including Nespresso, Kraft Heinz, Unilever, Kellogg’s and Danone as well as a range of startups in emerging categories. She launched specialised F&B consultancies within both Publicis Groupe and WPP as a response to the explosion of food culture, helping brands reimagine the way they innovate and go to market. Megan also helped start-up and lead a number of digital agency teams delivering CRM, social media & ecommerce programs.
Megan has been an ongoing contributor to media and industry events on food and beverage trends, covering topics such as Luxury in Food, the Future of Sustainability and Trust in F&B, including AdAge’s What Next for Food & Beverage, Progressive Grocer’s Future Leaders Forum, Food People’s Trend Summit 2023, as well as the Consumer Goods Forum and a number of WBCSD events.
