Transformation Director, Lloyds Banking Group

Irvinder joined Lloyds Banking Group in 2018 as part of the Group Transformation Division which is transforming how Lloyds delivers digital products and services to 70 million customers. Within this context Irvinder is responsible for changing the way Lloyds delivers change, enabling a new operating model that will increase agility, be more responsive to customers and a better place to work for colleagues. Irvinder is currently leading the transition from the existing Group Transformation operating model which touches 18,000 colleagues with a key focus on maintaining trust through this significant change.

Prior to joining Lloyds Banking Group, Irvinder was Transformation Director at Sainsbury's plc where she was responsible for delivering the CEO's multi-year Transformation Programme. To deliver this transformation across Sainsbury's food and digital propositions, its operating model and productivity, Irvinder was empowered to develop and enable radical change across the organisation to increase corporate agility.

Irvinder joined Sainsbury's plc in 2015 as Business Development Director. In this role, Irvinder had P&L and portfolio responsibility for New Business ventures for Sainsbury's. This included two JV Board roles, the launch of a new digital business in China and portfolio optimisation thorough the successful divestment of two complex joint venture assets.

Irvinder has had a diverse global career successfully combining general management and consulting. Irvinder spent 10 years in Australia, during this time she led a supply chain transformation for a FTSE 100 that transformed performance and provided a robust future operating platform. Following this, Irvinder built and led the retail practice for a strategy consulting firm and worked with leading global organisations across a variety topics including growth strategy, cost reduction and operations improvement. Irvinder was the first female partner in Australia for AT Kearney in 2012 and was lead Author for the Australian Food and Grocery Manufacturing Industry Outlook Report - 2020 Industry at Crossroads.

Prior to returning to the UK, Irvinder was the Group Strategy Director for the retailer Coles. At Coles, Irvinder led the development of the corporate strategy and specific performance improvement opportunities across the Group portfolio.

Irvinder started her career in logistics as a graduate with the National Freight Consortium (DHL) and jumped straight into line management roles running parcel operations. Irvinder has a strong sense of stewardship and is passionate about increasing representation of women and BAME executives at senior levels. In 2017, Irvinder's contribution was recognised by the Financial Times in their Top 100 Ethnic Minority Power list, where she was ranked 17th. Irvinder lives in London with her husband, daughter and Vesper (a very exuberant cocker spaniel).
