Food allergy is the fastest growing disease in the world, with an estimated 250 million people suffering, and the list of allergens to previously harmless foodstuffs is also increasing. How much do colleagues in the sector understand about it though? And how can retailers, the food industry and the medical profession come together to respond to this?

In this fascinating talk, Nadim and Tanya Ednan-Laperouse, the founders of the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, will chart the tragic but also uplifting journey they’re on to rid the world of food allergens. No matter your role or remit this is sure to educate and inspire.

We will explore:

• The tragic genesis of their quest (the death of their daughter Natasha)
• The creation of Natasha’s Law, its impact, and why they’re still campaigning
• How they are approaching the task, what has been achieved so far, what setbacks there have been and when a cure might be delivered
