In recent years, mental health has been front of mind for many retailers in defining their people strategy. Not least because it has been proven that maintaining worker wellbeing helps positively impact productivity. But whilst employers undoubtedly must ensure they are creating a psychologically safe environment where everyone can thrive, how far does that responsibility go? Should this be a one-sided effort or should both employee and employer be meeting in the middle?
