Pano Christou has been CEO of Pret A Manger since October 2019. Pano’s journey with Pret began 21 years ago when he joined the Carnaby Street shop as an Assistant Manager back in 2000. He worked his way up through the business to become Managing Director of Pret UK in 2014 and Chief Operating Officer at the start of 2019.
Pano’s focus over the last 18 months has been steering Pret through the coronavirus crisis and adapting Pret’s business model to reflect the new retail environment, including the launch of the UK’s first coffee subscription service. Pano has continued to build on the work Pret has been doing to help customers with allergies through the Pret Allergy Plan, while also broadening the business’s focus on the environment, including publishing Pret’s first ESG strategy and report last year.
